Why This Started

Some people feel the world before anyone explains it to them.

I grew up feeling everything deeply — but most of it in silence.
For years, my body spoke louder than my words: pain, overwhelm, shutdown, confusion… and a nervous system no one could see or explain.

And the little girl in the photo —
the one looking back at herself in the mirror?
That’s me.

My journey didn’t start with a business.
It started with loss, misunderstanding, and years of being unseen inside the very systems meant to help.

I lost my daughter, Elle Louise King, in childbirth — a moment that changed every part of my life.
Her name lives on in ELLOUK, the mother company built in honour of her truth, her strength, and everything she didn’t get the chance to become.

After Elle passed, my health spiralled for decades.
Symptoms were dismissed, separated, fragmented.
Guidelines weren’t followed.
Departments didn’t speak to each other.
And I was left to navigate a system that looked at the body in pieces —
when the body is a connected, living ecosystem.

And still — I’m not here to fight the NHS.

ELLOUK was born from that truth.
From the desire to create a world where people are met with calm, seen beyond symptoms, and supported before the break.
